Meditation in a Conversation

Relational Mindfulness

What this Practice is…

Meditation in a Conversation is a guided relational mindfulness practice.

Instead of meditating alone in silence, we practice staying present while relating with others — noticing sensations, emotions, thoughts, impulses, and patterns as they arise in real time, in relationship.

Conversation is used as a simple structure to support this exploration.

The focus is not on discussion, debate, or self-improvement, but on direct experience — what is happening in you, and between you, moment by moment.

The practice is slow, facilitated, and grounded in mindfulness principles such as presence, curiosity, non-judgment and compassion.

The practice is inspired by Circling / Transformational Connection and adapted into a gentle, accessible format for people new to relational practices — offering a simple way to explore what it’s like to be here, now, together.

No previous meditation or relational practice experience is required.

Benefits

Why Practice This Way?

Many of us meditate or practice mindfulness alone, yet we notice that presence often fades in everyday interactions.

  • Life is relational: our attention, energy, and emotions are shaped by how we relate to others.
  • Traditional meditation alone doesn’t always teach us how to stay present in the middle of conversation or connection.
  • This practice allows you to bring mindful awareness into real-time relationships, noticing yourself and others without judgment.
  • Over time, you may find greater ease, clarity, and authenticity in your interactions, both here and in daily life.

It’s not about fixing anything or performing — it’s about exploring what it feels like to be fully present with yourself and others.

How?

What a Session Looks Like

We move slowly, creating a calm and intentional space where conversation becomes the vehicle for mindful presence.

Each session is in-person in Barcelona, guided, and lightly facilitated.

It’s structured enough to feel safe, yet organic enough to allow real exploration.

This often looks like:

  • Speaking from immediate experience
  • Listening without fixing or advising
  • Noticing your body as you relate
  • Allowing silence when it arises
  • Letting conversation slow down

We typically include:

  • A short arrival and grounding meditation
  • A simple principle to guide the practice
  • Paired and whole-group conversations
  • Time to integrate and reflect

There’s no need to perform, explain, or analyse.
The invitation is simply to experience what’s happening — within yourself, and in relationship with others — moment by moment.

Many participants leave feeling more present, connected, and at ease being themselves with others.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know

Can’t find an answer? Get in touch →

Is this therapy or a workshop?

No, while it can still be deeply transformative, this is a practice space, not therapy, coaching, or group processing.

We’re not trying to fix or improve anyone.
We’re practicing being with what’s already here — together.

Do you need previous meditation/mindfulness experience?

No previous experience is required. Everyone is welcome.

Do I have to share personal or emotional things?

While the practice invites intimacy with yourself and others, you only need to share what you feel comfortable with.

What if I don’t know what to say?

That’s perfectly fine. Silence and simply observing your experience are equally part of the practice.

What language is the session in?

Because of the need for a common language amongst all participants, sessions are conducted in English.

How is this different from a normal conversation?

The focus is on staying mindful of your inner experience while relating, rather than solving problems, giving advice, or performing.
